how to succeed on campus
Sometime back, one of the most successful men on earth was asked to explain the reasons behind his success which seemed to be achieved so effortlessly. His answer was so simple, yet so profound that a quiet hush fell among his interviewers. He said, "My secret is very simple, discovering the laws that govern this world and applying them to my everyday life". Nothing could be more true than what he said.
Every environment has its own laws which I'll like call principles which guarantee success or failure. Many people don't get the kind of success they want because they fail to realize this. If these principles are obeyed, success is guaranteed.
The campus acts as a stepping stone for some, at the same time as a lifetime barrier for others. As someone once said, "the only difference between a success and a failure in what they do", yet many fail to discover what successful people DO and DO them. After studying the lives of some successful people on campus, I've discovered that they are 4 basic principles for succeeding on campus.
First Principle: IT TAKES GOD. God should be the center of one's life if one is to succeed on campus. Numerous mistakes will be avoided and one would be shielded from all the evils that go on in campus. As my friend Victor Essien always says "If I get away from God, it means I've accepted to fail". We should put God first.
Second Principle: LOVE EVERY BIT OF THE EXPERIENCE. As my friend Victor Essien always says "Love is the only tool needed to build something of eternal value", love for what one does is one of the most powerful secrets men have discovered. You have to love the school, love all the courses, love all your lecturers. The only times I failed in school was with lecturers I hated ( hope you can also verify that with me). Remember, you can't make it without loving what you do.
Third Principle: HARD WORK IS THE KEY. Many people tend to forget the value of hard work but really one can't succeed on campus without hard work. Understand that it's just a number of years and you'll graduate and have a lifetime of pleasure. Discipline your self now and work hard.
Fourth Principle: HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Negativity kills faster than an epidemic. You have to say positive words to yourself all the time about your grades and your stay in school. No matter what may be happening on the outside, you must always maintain a positive attitude. Remember that your circumstances can't do that much, but your words can do all.
